Maya Blue Deep is a deep, mesmerizing blue with a distinct, subtle greenish-blue tone. It dries to a velvety, non-glossy, highly matte finish.
Maya Blue was originally invented by the ancient Maya civilization. What makes it a chemical marvel is that it is an organic-inorganic hybrid: ancient artisans fused organic indigo extracted from native plants (Indigofera suffruticosa) with an inorganic fibrous clay mineral (palygorskite) using heat and environmental conditions.
