Green Earth Light is made from natural earth pigment. Green Earth Light is typically composed of celadonite and/or glauconite minerals.
Green earth pigments have been used since antiquity, found in Roman frescoes and medieval paintings. The lighter version became popular for underpainting flesh tones in Renaissance art, a technique called "verdaccio."
The subdued, earthy quality makes Green Earth Light particularly valued for creating natural, harmonious color schemes.
