Cobalt Chromite is a dull, muted olive-green. Developed in 1780, making it one of the earlier synthetic green pigments available to artists. It has been a staple in professional palettes for over two centuries.
The muted, subdued quality of this green makes it particularly useful for natural landscape work and for toning down brighter greens.
