Carmine, also known as Benzimidazolone Carmine HF3C, is a synthetic organic pigment introduced in 1960.
It provides a deep, luminous red hue.
Lightfastness: Rated as "Very Good" (II) by manufacturers and independent tests, making it superior in permanence to traditional Alizarin Crimson.
Light Fastness: 6-7/8
