Cerulean Blue

$750.00 TWD

PB35 CI#77368

is a shade ranging between azure and a darker sky blue. We call it sky blue 天藍 in Chinese.

The first recorded use of cerulean as a color name in English was in 1590. The pigment Cerulean blue was discovered in 1789 by the Swiss chemist Albrecht Höpfner. It is particularly valuable for the artistic painting of skies because of its hue, its permanence, and its opaqueness.

**The color may vary when using binders to make the pigments into paints.
