PB29 CI#77007 (Ultramarine Blue)
Series 1
Ultramarine Blue was originally made by grinding the semi-precious stone lapis lazuli into a fine powder. It was one of the most expensive pigments available, and was used sparingly by artists due to its cost. Today, Ultramarine Blue is typically made using a synthetic pigment that mimics the color of lapis lazuli, but is much more affordable.
Our Ultramarine Blue watercolor paint is made using high-quality pigments that produce a rich, vibrant color. It has excellent lightfastness and is resistant to fading or discoloration over time. This versatile color can be used for a wide range of painting techniques, from subtle washes to bold, expressive strokes.
