Cuttlefish Black is a dark, bluish-black fluid produced by cuttlefish. It is stored in an ink sac and is released by these creatures when they are in danger, serving as a means of concealment from predators.
It is often used as a pigment, writing ink, dye, and black food coloring.
It has an odor of fresh sea.
